Kidepo Valley National Park, located in northeastern Uganda, is one of Africa’s most remote and pristine wilderness areas. Established in 1958, it covers approximately 1,442 square kilometers. The park is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and unique cultural heritage.
Location.
The Park is situated in northeastern Uganda, approximately 700 kilometers northeast of Kampala, the capital city. The park lies near the South Sudanese border, sharing international boundaries with South Sudan to the north and Kenya to the east, while domestically, it borders Uganda’s Karamoja region to the south and west.
